    Chassis

The D:BLW chassis through multiple iterations

📌 Starting to Build a Crawler Chassis with PC-CF Filament

When I first decided to make a crawler chassis using PC-CF filament,
    my biggest question was:

"Can a chassis printed with PC filament be as strong and perform as well as one made from carbon fiber?"

I already knew that most other parts could be printed easily with ABS filament,
but the chassis felt like a whole different challenge, so I was genuinely curious.

So I looked online for a chassis design I liked,
and tried to trace it as closely as possible in CAD based on a photo.

Since I didn’t have the actual chassis in hand,
I ignored perspective distortion and just followed the photo as best I could.

    The result?
    Surprisingly satisfying.

    After multiple prints and adjustments,
the prototype chassis has reached a fairly stable form,
and I’m gathering enough data through testing.

Of course, there are still things I want to change —
for example, I’m thinking about reducing the number of holes I drilled all over the chassis for testing.

    p.s.

By the way, I’m Korean and I don’t speak English well.
I’m writing this blog in English because I want to communicate with people from other countries.
If any of my sentences sound awkward or weird… please blame ChatGPT! 😆
